The Project

Bboxx requested that I should redesign their two Android Mobile Apps. First was the Technician App which helped Bboxx technicians to complete installations and repossessions. The second was the Sales Agents App used by Bboxx sales representatives to collect new customer leads and convert them into paying customers.

The UX Process

These two Android Apps already existed but were not used very much at Bboxx. This gave me the opportunity to work with the Product Owners to write new stories and sketch new iterations to generate more business value from these Android Apps.

Technician App

The new Visual Design for the Apps was influenced by our new Bboxx brand guidelines. By combining common elements like the Bboxx geometric pattern I was able to design something that had a similar look and feel to the Bboxx Desktop Application that I had previously designed.

Customer Details

Once a technician had looked-up a customer using the search facility, they would be shown the Customer Details Page. This is where basic customer information would be displayed as well as new functionality to locate a customers coordinates and save pictures of the Bboxx installation.

Camera Feature

The Camera API was built by our in-house Android Developer with a custom interface that I designed. The technician would be able to take pictures of the Bboxx installation at a customers premises. These pictures would be the proof of installation and provide evidence when a repossession would happen.

Sales Agent App

The second Android App that I redesigned was the Bboxx Sales Agent App. This was mainly used to collect potential customer leads and hopefully convert them into paying customers after a down payment was received. The sales agent would receive a commission based on how many leads they could find and fulfil.

Choose Products

This App was particularly helpful in articulating the variety of product combinations on offer at Bboxx. These could be configured based on the potential customers budget and for this reason I created a very visual interface to make the process as simple and engaging as possible.
